Aliansi Lestari Rimba Terpadu (ALeRT) recently welcomed a visit from Planète Urgence (PU) and Yayasan Planet Urgensi Indonesia (YPUI) as part of a shared effort to strengthen collaboration and deepen understanding of conservation and climate change adaptation efforts taking place in Way Kambas National Park.
The visit began at ALeRT’s office, where the Planète Urgence team received a presentation on the organization’s vision, mission, and various conservation and community empowerment programs. The group then continued to Tegal Yoso Village in East Lampung to engage in direct discussions with the local community about the implementation of the Climate Village Program (ProKlim), including challenges faced and mitigation measures that have been undertaken.
The visit also included a meeting with the Way Kambas National Park Office to reinforce inter-institutional synergy, and concluded with a field visit to the Mentru Kembar restoration site at the Susukan Baru Resort. Through this journey, the collective spirit to protect forests and tackle climate change was further strengthened—because caring for nature is our shared responsibility, today, tomorrow, and always.
