Ujung Kulon National Park is a national park located in Banten Province, Indonesia. This national park has an area of 105,694.46 hectares consisting of 61,357.46 ha of land (terrestrial) and 44,337 ha of water (marine).

This area is rich in diversity of vegetation and is a habitat for various types of wildlife. Animals that can be found include the Javan gibbon (Hylobates moloch), rhinoceros hornbill (Buceros rhinoceros), leopard (Panthera pardus melas), and Javan rhinoceros (Rhinoceros sondaicus).

The Javan rhinoceros (Rhinoceros sondaicus) is an endemic animal that can only be found in the Ujung Kulon National Park area. Its small population and only found in Ujung Kulon National Park makes this species vulnerable to the threat of extinction. Because of this, overall monitoring of the Javan rhinoceros individual is carried out by the Ujung Kulon National Park Authority together with the Integrated Forest Conservation Alliance. The resulting data is important in efforts to protect and develop the Javan Rhinoceros population in an appropriate and effective manner. The hope to preserve the Javan rhinoceros is still very strong, therefore all these efforts need to be carried out in a sustainable manner.
